Sheepfold

The sheepfold, opened in 2018 by King Willem-Alexander, is located about 500 meters from the Veenloopcentrum. This can be reached via the Historical Path that runs from the Veenloopcentrum to the sheepfold.

It is the largest sheepfold in the Netherlands for about 1000 sheep. There is also a cattle shed for 110 cattle. Restaurant Wollegras is located near the sheepfold, where you can enjoy a delicious meal with a view of the sheepfold and the Bargerveen.
